Siempre se ha hablado a lo largo de la historia de los 'mejores guitarristas', donde nombres como Slash, Hendrix, Van Halen, Petrucci, incluso Kirk Hammett, entre otros, son reconocidos en todo el mundo, y no me pondré a discutir sobre esto, el comentario viene a que en este último siglo con la oleada del sonido Djent, progresivo y demás, nos ha dado gran satisfacción al descubrir talentos que parecen perfeccionar lo que ya parecía ser pefecto, desafiando aquellos nombres que se ven como una sombra al lado de los nuevos prospectos.
En esta ocasión les traiga unas cuantas preguntas sobre uno de los que han venido haciendo un extraordinario trabajo, Aaron Marshall, lidereando la banda instrumental Intervals, que recién lanzó su segundo EP "In Time", del cual aquí nos menciona un poco entre otras cosillas, espero les agrade.

¿Cómo empezó Intervals?
Intervals comenzó como un desahogue creativo, después de dejar una banda. En realidad nunca fue la intención hacerlo una entidad real, pero aquí estamos!
¿Qué tal la convivencia día a día entre la banda?
Las cosas están bien. Somos individuos con una sola mente y muy buenos amigos!
Se puede decir que la escena aun se encuentra en una etapa 'underground', pero que ha venido creciendo inmensamente en estos días,
¿Cómo sienten el apoyo de la gente?
Los fans son los que mantienen los nichos vivos. Vemos que hay un crecimiento rápido, y una audiencia muy receptiva para la música progresiva e instrumental actualmente. Estamos feliz del formar parte!
¿Quién es la mente maestra en la banda?
Yo no diría que hay una "mente maestra" en la banda. La banda empezó conmigo, pero no sería nada sin sus miembros.
¿Ha sido difícil mantener el proyecto?
Para nada. Ha sido bastante natural!
¿Hay posibilidad de que en un futuro agreguen un vocalista?
Somos un grupo con mente abierta. Nunca he querido limitar lo que hacemos y decir no, pero la vocalización no es un punto de enfoque para esta banda.
La recepción de "The Space Between" fue bastante exitosa,
e "In Time" parece estar pegando fuerte también, ¿cómo se siente eso?
Se siente bien! Estamos muy contentos de que nuestros fans nos apoyen tanto, y que la música esté siento bien recibida!
¿Planes para visitar latinoamérica?
Nos encantaría. No hay planes aún, pero esperemos se vuelva una realidad!

Things are good. We're all like minded individuals and good friends!
I can say that this scene still being on a 'underground' stage, but it's growing so fast on these days,
How do you feel the fans support?
Fans are what keep niches like this alive. We're finding there is a quickly growing, and very receptive audience for progressive and instrumental music these days. We're happy to be a part of it!
Who's the mastermind of the band?
I wouldn't say there is a 'mastermind' in the band. The band started with me, but it would be nothing without it's members.
It's been hard to keep up this project?
Not at all. Quite natural actually!
There's any chance to add a vocalist in the future?
We're an open minded group. I wouldn't ever want to limit what we do and say no, but vocals are not a point of focus for this band.
