It is with regret that we must announce that Gary King is no longer our vocalist and has decided to leave Nexilva. Gary has been a part of this band from the very beginning, however he has chosen not to continue on with us as we venture into the future. His heart and passion no longer lies within this band and this is a decision that we have all embraced positively. There is no animosity between us and we wish him all the best for everything he has planned in future, his role has been integral to our journey as a band and we’re incredibly proud of the music we have created with him and always will be.

The rest of us will continue to push forward and we are currently looking for a new vocalist. All of our upcoming shows and tours will go ahead as planned, with a fill in or with a new vocalist. And we will still continue to work on our new album, as we are planning to release new music as soon as possible. We’d also just like to take a moment to give a huge thanks to Jamie Harrison of Belial for filling in on vocal duties at very short notice yesterday for Ritual Festival - be sure to check his band out as they’re incredible and pushing the boundaries of U.K death metal. As stated we are searching for a new vocalist and will be accepting submissions. Details on that below.

We are looking for a vocalist to be part of Nexilva who is willing to give their all to this band, to completely dedicate themselves and put the same effort and work in that the rest of us do. Someone who has the talent and work ethic to front our band. We are looking for someone who’s vocal range can handle our back catalogue but can also push beyond what we’ve done vocally in the past. We’re always progressing musically and creatively - pushing our boundaries and experimenting - and we need someone who can help us further that vocally within our new material. We are able to work with anyone from within the U.K and potentially Europe too - depending on logistics. And we are looking for someone in or around the age group of 18 - 30 years old.

To submit yourself for the first part of the audition process, we would like you to record a vocal cover of “Eschatologies” (Instrumental track available here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/…/Eschatologies%20Instrumental.wa…). If you’re able to provide a video of your cover too that would be great as we’d like to have some sort of visual reference of you performing it. We aren’t looking for a carbon copy style of what’s already been done on our material, so please show as much creativity within the song as you want, to show off your voice and range as best as possible. Please include the above in a message to our Facebook page OR an email to: nexilvasubmissions@gmail.com and include your name, age and location as well as links to any other vocal works that you’d like to show us.

Lastly, we understand this may be a shock or saddening for some of you to hear, so we’d like to thank you for sticking with us through this time and promise that we will find someone perfect to complete our band and help us step things up even further in this coming evolution of Nexilva.

Thank you,

Simon, Connor, Ryan, Steve and Chris
